डोक्यावरचं कर्जाचं ओझं जड झालं की आपलं आणि   आपल्या कुटुंबियांचं आयुष्य   संपवणं  ,  हा   अलीकडे सोपा इलाज होऊ लागला आहे. पण आयुष्य मौल्यवान असतं   ,  आपलं आणि आपल्याशी जोडलेल्या   कुटुंबाचंही. ते  '  अर्थपूर्ण  '  करणं अधिक सोपं   आहे  , संपवण्यापेक्षा. .......... गेल्या आठवड्यात एका बातमीने सगळं मुंबई शहर हादरून गेलं. एका   मध्यमवर्गीय कुटुंबातल्या कर्जबाजारी बापानं मुलांचा खून केला आणि नंतर पत्नीसह   आत्महत्या केली. दोन दिवसांनी घरातून कुजलेले मृतदेह बाहेर काढावे लागले! खरंतर अशा बातम्या महिन्या दोन महिन्यांनी कुठल्या ना कुठल्या   शहरातून येत असतात. तपशील बदलतात  ...  कहाणी एकच असते. कर्जात   आकंठ बुडालेलं कुटुंब. त्यातून मार्ग न निघाल्याने बायको-मुलांची हत्या करून   स्वतःला संपवणारा घरातला मध्यमवयाचा कर्ता पुरुष  ...  चटका लावणारे हे प्रसंग या   देशातलं बदलतं आर्थिक आणि सामाजिक वास्तव दाखवतात. त्याच्या मुळाचा शोध घेताना थेट   आपलं आर्थिक धोरण खुलं झालं तिथप...

महिलादिनी मला घडलेला साक्षात्कार: भाऊ तोरसेकर     त्या दिवशी म्हणजे शुक्रवारी ८ मार्चला महिलादिन होता. सगळीकडे महिलांचे गुणगान चालू होते. वाहिन्यांपासून वृत्तपत्रांपर्यंत सर्वत्र महिलांवर कौतुकाच्या शब्दांचा वर्षाव चालू होता. पण मी मात्र त्यात सहभागी नव्हतो. म्हणूनच माझ्या भावना व्यक्त करण्यासाठी फ़ेसबुकच्या भिंतीवर काही ओळी लिहिल्या होत्या.     ज्याच्या आयुष्यात महिलांच्या कृपेशिवाय कुठला दिवस उगवतो वा मावळतो, त्यांच्यासाठी महिलादिन असू शकतो. माझ्या जीवनात तरी असा दिवस अजून उजाडलाच नाही. जन्माला घालण्याच्या कृपेपासून कुठल्या ना कुठल्या रुपातल्या स्त्रीनेच संभाळ केला. म्हणून माझ्यासाठी प्रत्येक दिवसच महिलादिन असतो. तर कुठला एक दिवस साजरा करू? ज्यांच्या शुभेच्छा व सदिच्छांवरच जगलो व जगतो, त्यांना द्यायला उधारीच्या शुभेच्छा आणायच्या कुठून? ज्या दिवशी त्या दिवाळखोरीतून आणि ऋणातून मुक्त होऊ शकेन तो दिवस माझ्यासाठी स्वतंत्रपणे काही साजरे करायचा दिवस असेल मित्रांनो. पण विद्यमान निसर्गनियमात स्त्रीपासून स्वतंत्र स्वयंभू माणुस होणे या जन्मात तरी अशक्य वाटते. ...
